"Upward and onwards!"

About: Pitlochry Community Hospital / Community In-patient Wards

(as the patient),

Before I was admitted to hospital I had not eaten, or drank anything including alcohol. It was as if my body was shutting down, eventually I fell and broke my pelvis.

I was admitted to Perth Royal infirmary. I contracted pneumonia with a Do not resuscitate order.

Eventually I was admitted to Pitlochry community hospital where I was cared for, for almost six months.

I was an alcoholic!!!

After several falls and broken bones and compassionate care from all the staff, I'm home and daily I feel stronger.

I attended my first Alcoholic anonymous last night!

Upward and onwards!

Thanks again for your kindness, and care.

Thank you Mister Happy for taking the time to give your feedback. I am glad that the treatment you received in Pitlochry was to a high standard and I will be sure to share this with the whole team. It is always great to hear when we get things right and is always a boost to staff morale. I am glad you have made such a good recovery and I hope things continue to improve. We are extremely pleased to hear you continue your recovery with your meeting attendance which will be key support for you going forward, we wish you the best for the future.
