Since week 6 of being pregnant I had the worst sickness right the way through, and also with the nerves of being a first time mum, made my pregnancy really tough.
I was very fortunate to be assigned Kirsty as my midwife and she was amazing! Kirsty made sure I had the best support for both me and my baby boy, from information websites and social groups, to being able to drop her a text for anything that was on my mind or questions I had.
Kirsty came round after my baby boy was born, and as well as doing all the checks, she showed both myself and my partner how to use the baby sling - which has been fantastic! I'm not sure how to go about it but I would like Kirsty to be considered for the Daisy Award, due to outstanding help and support.
Also I would like to thank all the midwives at Dr Grays hospital, team Bluebell, and especially Ashley, who was kind enough to take my baby boy for a few hours so I could sleep/recover - which was really needed!
Thanks again!
