"The service in the Day Care Unit"

About: Crosshouse Hospital / Paediatrics

(as a parent/guardian),

My son comes in every 6 weeks for his infusion. The last couple of times have been a complete and utter nightmare.

We get booked in, only to sit about and wait for hours. The place is quiet, it just seems like no one knows how to do the Infusions properly.

Normally the kids in the Day Unit get asked if they want lunch, but the staff member on our most recent visit completely walked by and left my son and another wee boy without any lunch.

My son eventually started getting his infusion 2.5 hours later and I have my other son to get after school. It has felt like a complete wasted day for a 1hr & 15mins infusion.
