I realised that I didn't receive a phone call for my RSV Vaccine so I phoned up the Immunisation Centre and was told, by a rather abrupt member of staff that I was a no show and that I was sent a letter with an appointment on it. They told me it wasn't possible to book another appointment at that time and I would have to phone back in a couple of days.
I phoned back up a couple of days later to book my appointment, which I then went to. The nurses, and senior nurse, at St Andrews Community Hospital, were lovely, no complaints about them whatsoever.
I was told by the senior nurse that she was worried they wouldn't have enough vaccines for everyone turning up because it turns out that, similar to my situation, a lot of other people did not get their letters telling them about their appointment, and the immunisation centre said we could turn up on that day, much to the surprise of the senior nurse and their team.
