"Absolute compassion and empathy"

About: University Hospital Monklands / Critical Care Unit

(as the patient),

I was a patient a few months ago in intensive care, all staff were excellent and treated me with absolute compassion and empathy. After requiring support recently for medication and advice on other matters, I was pleased to meet Jack again. He was the pharmacist that tended to me in ICU and both then and today he was an absolute pleasure to talk to. He is incredibly compassionate and empathetic and Monklands hospital are lucky to have Jack in the pharmacy team, he really is a credit to both the hospital and the profession. Thank you Jack!

Dear JS5311,

Thank you for sharing your experience of University Hospital Monklands Intensive Care Unit, and more recent experience with the Pharmacy Team.

I am so pleased to hear that the team in intensive care treated you so well throughout your stay with us. I'm glad you found the team were compassionate and empathetic. It must have helped to make you feel at ease while you were so unwell.

I’ll ensure your kind words are passed on to Jack and the whole team who I'm sure will get a real boost from hearing your feedback.

I hope you are keeping well.

Kind regards,

Alix
