"Treatment of my dying father"

About: Poole Hospital / Older people's healthcare

(as a relative),

My father is rapidly getting worse and we have had to witness what we feel is wholly inadequate care by the staff in Poole Hospital.

My mum has had to clean him up, feed him, give him fluids, move him so he can breathe. Why is it that every time we go into this ward and see him, he is laid in a way he cannot breathe, oxygen mask off, hasn't been fed or given any fluids to drink & half dressed or covered in his own faeces or pee?

I also find the consistent disregard for our concerns by the staff disgusting. We never even seem to see the same staff twice, it is a living nightmare, my dad deserves so much better than this.

Just because he is unable to understand what is happening to him right now doesn't mean he doesn't deserve dignity, respect and quality of care.

He is a human being, it's horrible.
