I visited main outpatients department in the Ulster hospital today with my mum for her appointment. We were greeted by a very friendly nursing assistant Christine who was very welcoming.
Our visit was with Dr Hillemand a gastroenterology consultant. We found him to be be extremely kind and he took his time to listen to my mums issues. He was very reassuring And put our minds at ease about things as we had been worrying waiting on the appointment. He was very thorough, has arranged more tests and took his time to explain what plan he has in place. We left the appointment very happy and my mum was very impressed with Dr Hillemand. We received this appointment very quickly and only had to wait 2 weeks which was excellent considering waiting times can be lengthy.
We also spoke to a lovely deputy sister Becka who was very kind and very chatty who took the time to go and speak with my mum to reassure her as she could tell she was anxious.
Also the girl who took my mums bloods was also very friendly and chatty. (Sorry I didn’t get her name)
All the staff were very friendly and welcoming and I can tell that there’s a lovely team of staff in the outpatient dept.
Thank you to everyone.
