"Awful patient care"

About: Royal Stoke University Hospital

Came in with my partner for a suspected broken foot after been told be the 111 service to visit one hospital only to be told afterwards that they are passing xray patents on to another one.

Took nearly 5 1/2 hours for my partner to be taken for an xray on her foot then only to be left then for a further 3 hours before she was seen which in my opinion when someone who is in pain and spent most of the night sat in A&E on metal chairs which is not comfortable at all.

I would not recommend coming back to this hospital again they need more staff and better care for there patients. It is unacceptable for the NHS to have people waiting for just under 10 hours to be seen.

Dear Mr Brown,

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback regarding your partner's care during their visit to our ED. I am truly sorry to read of the extended wait time they encountered. Unfortunately, our Emergency Department is seeing an unprecedented demand which is massively impacting wait times and subsequently, our patients experience.

I will share your feedback with our ED management team for their information and reflection.

I do hope your partner is now recovering well.

With best wishes

Rebecca Pilling
