I am 4 weeks post op, the improvement is already showing no pain and a beautiful neat scar. I stayed awake through the op I was scared at first but that soon eased off as the Dr's and nurses were speaking to me all throughout. I think I even dropped off to sleep and gave the anaesthetist a scare as my oxygen level drop each time.
I was wheeled straight back to the ward welcomed with smiles and welcome backs and had a welcome sandwich and drink and then helped to get up and walk around and eventually a flight of stairs. After that, I was able to take myself to the loo and by this time all other patients from that day had gone home but I had to stay and I didn't mind I knew I was going home the next day and my family had already popped in so I decided to settle down. I was only disturbed for vitals readings. All in all, the time I spent there was was very comforting and reassuring. Thank you to our wonderful NHS and Mr Cove, thank you to you all.
