About: Fife Community Services / Breast Feeding Support Service

(as a service user),

This service has given me essential support; without it, I would not have breastfed either of my babies for long. With my first baby, they supported me through initial issues (eg latch and positioning) with visits and phone calls. When I developed vasospasm, they provided me with additional resources.

Thanks to their support in resolving these issues, I managed to breastfeed my first baby for a year. For my second baby, they have again supported through visits and phone calls, and additionally lent me a breastpump to help me increase my milk supply.

While baby 2 and I are only 4 weeks into breastfeeding, I am confident that we wouldn't have got this far without the Breastfeeding Support Fife.

Thank you for sharing your story! It’s clear that Breastfeeding Support Fife has been a lifeline for you throughout your breastfeeding journey with both of your babies. Their personalised support, from resolving latch and positioning issues, made such a difference in enabling you to breastfeed your first baby for a full year.

It’s wonderful to hear that they’ve been just as supportive with your second baby, providing visits, phone calls, and even lending a breast pump to help boost your milk supply. Your confidence at just 4 weeks into breastfeeding speaks volumes about the impact of their guidance so thanks for sharing!
