I am mum to two babies - one (2.5) was a preemie, the other (8w) was born at term. Both born via c-section, so my milk took a while to come in, during which time both lost more weight than planned.
The team at Breastfeeding Support Fife reached out immediately with my first - they attended my house several times over the first few days to help me help him to latch, and stayed with me to make sure he was feeding properly. They sat with me through my hormonal meltdowns where I thought I was an inadequate mum, and they gave me informed but non-judgmental advice, support and equipment when I needed it most.
When I had my second baby, my first call upon being discharged from hospital was to Breastfeeding Support, as I knew they were best placed to help me ensure that I was doing everything possible to get breastfeeding off to a good start.
They've been amazing with checking in on me and baby, even though everything is going well and I'm probably not a priority, they make me feel valued and like they have as much time for me as I need.
