a pharmacist called me and told me my cholesterol was high. they didn’t tell me how high, what the ranges were or why having high cholesterol was a problem all of a sudden. I felt like I was being forced to go on another tablet and didn’t feel like my concerns about using too many medicines were listened to. When I tried to call back to get my results I was told by a receptionist who didn’t tell me her name I couldn’t be given this information over the phone. I asked for it in writing. I was told this information couldn’t be mailed to me. I asked if I could book a telephone appointment. I was told there were none available. I was told I could register for online services. This isn’t possible for me as I need help with anything on the computer but the receptionist didn’t care about that. I felt like nobody from the practice cared about my feelings about using medicines or computers. I feel let down. I explained to the receptionist I wasn’t going to start the medicine and could she tell the pharmacist. She said she could add a note, took my name and date of birth then hung up.
