My wife recently tripped at home and badly cut her head .
Initially I called 111 but I was put off by the procedural administration I was supposed to complete. It was an emergency, lots of blood. I had no time for check lists .. so I gave up on 111 and called 999. I was told I might have to wait 4 hrs for an ambulance and was advised to take her to hospital myself.
Clutching ice packs and bandages, we arrived at West Mendip Community Hospital, Glastonbury, and were seen within a few minutes by an amazing team of Gavin, Karen and Tom. They were absolutely terrific and cannot be and praised enough for their professionalism, competence, expertise and calm good humour in a time of stress . Thank You!!
"Excellent care given to my wife"
