Having just been diagnosed with prostate cancer and fatty liver I cannot praise the urology team at Ayr hospital highly enough for their care and reassurance and compassionate way they have dealt with me. Steven and Lilian, you are a credit to your profession.

However the fatty liver is another situation, where I was scanned in the morning, my practice called me in the afternoon saying I was being urgently referred only to find out the next week that I would be 10 to 12 months so much for an urgent referral.

This in my eyes is unacceptable

I am sorry to read of your recent diagnosis, but am grateful for your feedback on how you found the care provided by the Urology Team to be reassuring and compassionate. Our staff really appreciate receiving feedback from patients and I will be sure to share your kind comments with the wider Team in the Unit and with Steven and Lilian in particular. I know, they will be delighted to receive this feedback and it will be encouraging to know that you felt so well supported by them.
