"Excellent service from all departments"

About: Forth Valley Royal Hospital / Orthopaedic Ward B23 Forth Valley Royal Hospital / Xrays & Scans Scottish Ambulance Service / Emergency Ambulance

(as a service user),

My wife fell at home on a Friday evening. We phoned 999 and an ambulance was at the house in under an hour (we live rural). She was admitted to A&E, X Rayed and fracture confirmed. Transferred to SAU and hip repair completed on Saturday afternoon.

Less than 24 hours from fall to repair. Excellent service from all departments concerned. These stories should be publicised not just the bad ones.

Dear Oddjobman,

Many thanks for taking the time to share your feedback here on CareOpinion. I am so sorry to read about what happened to your wife, that must have been terrifying. I hope that she is feeling better and on the road to recovery. It is great to hear positive stories about the work our wonderful staff provide.

If you wish I can pass on the feedback to the crews directly. To do so we would need to know the date, time and address that the Ambulance attended and of course your wifes name. This information can be sent to sas.feedback@nhs.scot for the team to pick up. If you do decide to do this, would you be so kind as to make reference to your CareOpinion username so that the team can easily locate your story and share it with the crew.

I wish you all the very best and thanks again.

Kind Regards

Alan
