"Missed Diagnosis"

About: Stoke Mandeville Hospital

Suffered a shoulder dislocation end of December 2023. Slipped off a chair at home. Paramedic put arm back in socket with the aid of Fentanyl and Ketamine. Taken to Stoke Mandeville A and E. An x - ray was ordered. No fractures found so sent home with paracetamol. The pain was unbearable over the next weeks with no arm or shoulder movement. It wasnt until April that i was sent for an MRI Scan. Revealed massive rotator cuff damage. 3 out of the 4 shoulder tendons had ruptured and bisep tendon was badly torn. This was cut during surgery. Also, have nerve damage in left arm. Underwent surgery beginning of May 2024. How could this amount of damage have been missed on original visit to A and E last December. Still have very limited movement and severe pain.
