"The continuity of care made a scary situation bearable"

About: Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh at Little France / Lothian Birth Centre Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh at Little France / Maternity care

(as the patient),

I just wanted to say I had a wonderful experience at Royal Infirmary Edinburgh. Every single midwife, consultant and anaesthesiologist were so caring and looked after me so well. I could not have asked for a better team.

I was triaged very quickly at the birth centre and made to feel very comfortable. I was then moved to theatre to place an epidural, every step was explained so well. Once that was done I was on the labour ward and again the care and support was second to none.

I did have some complications post birth and had to head back to theatre but the continuity of care made a scary situation bearable.

I then spent 2 days on ward 119 being very well cared for. The only issue I have is I did require a bariatric bed that had an air mattress. This was extremely loud and there was a leak which meant it kept deflating.

Dear atlasbh79.

Hi. I am so pleased to hear your positive feedback and appreciate the time taken to do so especially with a brand new lovely baby.

I hope you and all the family are well.
