I received excellent care from everyone on Ward 7 in PRI. Graeme, Louise, Sheila, Yvonne, Lynne, Max , Paula and Rys were all respectful, attentive, thorough and had a lovely sociable manner that helped put me at ease.
Claire must get an extra special mention as she was friendly and got blood on the first go as I’m extremely difficult to get blood out of as poor Max found. But he persevered and got some today. There were lots of laughs had together on ward 7, especially with the night nurses. Much to my abdominal muscles chagrin!
Mr Zino answered all the extra questions I had with no judgement. He lived up to his reputation of an excellent surgeon, no complications. Apologies to him for me not waking up to hear his debrief. Fraser and Sinne(?), so sorry I’ve maybe got her name wrong (she was my anaesthetist) and the other man were very friendly and and treated me with respect in the prep area. They worked well together. Fraser kept me at ease before and after.
Tam was friendly, knowledgeable and a good driver. The cleaners were all friendly and said hello.
Overall I had a really positive experience getting my gallbladder out at PRI. I hadn’t expected to be in overnight but they all worked hard to get my pain under control so I could leave today. For which I am grateful. I didn’t have much of an appetite but what I did eat was tasty. Especially my tea and toast at supper time, thanks Yvonne.
Thank you all, a great team!
