Called in yesterday. Receptionist said I needed to call the next morning after 8 am for a doctors appointment. Did that and was 10 th in queue. Was called back after about an hour to be told the system was full for that day and I would need to come into the surgery to get a system slot at 8 am next day. I asked why this could not be done today to be told again the system was full for the day and usually gets full by 8-30 am. Receptionist and telephone operator were very polite and I feel sorry for them .
The system runs the practise. I asked to speak to the practise manager and they were on holiday for the day……..
I’ve now made other arrangements.
Shame on headlands surgery for allowing a ‘system’ to run their practise and affect patients wellbeing.
I would like the practise manager to call me.
