"Text support and home visits"

I have been lucky enough to have received the amazing care of the fife community breastfeeding support team on 2 occasions. I had a particularly wonderful experience in Jan 2022 when my 3rd baby was born and without their help, home visits and wealth of knowledge I would not have been able to go on to breastfeed my baby for over 12 months. I cannot thank them enough and will be forever grateful for having that support which I know some other local health boards do not have. I then again had the privilege of having their excellent support in Jan 2024 after my 4th baby was born. Again without their text support and home visits I wouldn't have been able to continue my breastfeeding journey. My healthy exclusively breastfed baby is now 7 months and we are both still loving breastfeeding.

I have recently been made away that this team may be withdrawn in Fife and I am absolutely devastated as I cannot stress enough how important their role is for the families of Fife.
