"The team saved my breastfeeding journey."

About: Fife Community Services / Breast Feeding Support Service

(as a service user),

Breastfeeding support fife saved my breastfeeding journey.

I was unable to feed my first born due to supply issues so this time I was determined breastfeeding support fife came out to my home even before I gave birth to help me colostrum harvesting and talk about my fears and concerns with breastfeeding.

Then after the birth they supported me with latch problems, nipple damage and pumping. They also supported me recently (7 month after birth) as I got mastitis.

Dear Emma246

My name is Siobhan McIlroy and I am the Head of Patient Experience. I am sorry for the delay in you receiving a response.

Thank you so much for sharing your journey! I am thrilled to hear that Breastfeeding Support Fife played such a pivotal role in your breastfeeding experience. It’s wonderful that you reached out for support even before your baby arrived, and I am glad the team could address your concerns and help with colostrum harvesting.

It’s inspiring to know that the breastfeeding team was there for you through latch issues, nipple damage, and even mastitis later on. Your determination and willingness to seek help is truly commendable, and I am so happy the team were able to support you every step of the way.

Thank you for trusting the team with your breastfeeding journey, and congratulations on all your hard work!

Best wishes Siobhan
