I started treatment 4 years ago. So far I have had 2 consultations & now a third is requested, 2 days after I made enquiries with my own dentist regarding the delay. I can not get an appointment until Nov 24. No treatment has started in 4 years only xrays, showing the infection in my jaw, which it will as I have not had the treatment. This has affected my other teeth in the same location. I have been advised there is no option for the treatment elsewhere as you do with other medical issues for the rest of your body. No manager was available, as they are in meetings all day! Which I find hard to believe due to the terrible organisation. This dental hospital really needs some intervention from the powers that be, to run the hospital in a more organised fashion and to stop wasting time with consultation after consultation when the actual dental work could be undertaken in that time. This seems to be a delay tactic for government stats to say a person has been seen and not the true picture of has your dental work taken place. 4 years wait is ridiculous, it was blamed on Covid which I appreciate, but that was a few years ago now. Management should have sorted this out at one of their 7.30 hour per day meetings.
