Earlier this year I was referred by my Parkinson's nurse to the Speech Therapy clinic at Coathill hospital where I met Leanne, who after the initial consultation, asked if I would be interested in being involved in in doing a speech therapy course called LSVT Loud. Having heard good things regarding this course, I immediately agreed to be enrolled for this 4 week course.
Leanne told me that I would be the first person to use the online version and be given a laptop to do the most part at home. I found this to be very beneficial and easy to use. From the start both Leanne and Janice were great and very supportive and made the whole thing both fun and effective. By the end of the course my voice has become stronger and louder enabling me to have more confidence in interacting with people.
I would certainly recommend this course to anyone who is experiencing voice problems as a result of Parkinson's.
"Supportive, fun and effective"
