I was admitted to Wishaw General Ward 6 for approx 4.5 weeks after taking seriously ill suddenly.
I had meningitis along with some other complications. I don’t remember the first few days I was in but all the staff, the nursing staff especially went above and beyond to reassure my family and to make them feel at ease.
The staff also took amazing care of me.
Once I came too, nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Having always been independent and self sufficient, I suddenly found myself in the position where I was bed bound and totally reliant on the nurses especially, it was difficult.
The nurses though couldn’t have done more to help me, to make me feel at ease and to get me back like myself.
I go home on my own 2 feet and will never be able to thank the staff enough for the high level of care that they have shown me.
Thank You
"Nothing was too much trouble for the staff"
