"Compassionate care shown throughout stroke treatment,"

About: Adult Health & Support Services / Community Stroke Neuro Rehabilitation Team Adult Health Services / Adult Speech & Language Therapy

(as the patient),

I had a Cerebrovascular Stroke at home. I was admitted to Monklands Hospital under the control of Mr Professor Barber in January 2024.

Following this I was met by Susan, Occupational Therapist and Emily, Speech and Language Therapist. I wanted to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude for the care and support they provided during my recovery. Their expertise, patience, and kindness have made an incredible difference in my journey. From the encouragement you’ve given me during speech therapy to the compassionate care you've shown throughout my stroke treatment, I can’t thank you both enough.

They’ve not only helped me regain my abilities but also given me hope and confidence along the way. I feel truly fortunate to have a great team by my side during this challenging time.

Thank you once again for everything you do. Your dedication is deeply appreciated.
