"It can only be described as VIP treatment"

My mummy attended Daisy Hill ED last night following a fall at home. She was in so much pain. Following some compassionate advice from Deirdre in Phone First service we were advised to attend ED.

Mummy was triaged on arrival and following this her care can only be described as VIP treatment. Assessment was completed immediately by Dr Ciaran who was so thorough. We then saw Claire in X-Ray who was so efficient in ensuring mummy got the best images to support her diagnosis of a dislocated shoulder. Claire was very kind and despite mummy being in so much pain she put her at ease. We were then swiftly taken to CT for a head scan were Staff Nurse Molly ensured no delays in transporting mummy to the far side of the hospital, all the while giving mummy so much reassurance and kind words of comfort, she is the true definition of a nurse. 

All these scans were read in such a timely manner that mummy was then given pain relief and her shoulder was relocated. Dr's McKeown and O'Connor were excellent. They kept me informed throughout and spoke to mummy like she was their own mummy giving her so much care. Thankfully mummy got home last night and whilst in pain and shock she feels so lucky to live in the Daisy Hill catchment area, my whole family do!
