About: Crosshouse Hospital / Intensive Care Unit

(as a service user),

I was admitted for suspected food poisoning, and ended up with Kidney failure bleeding duodenal ulcers and sepsis which nearly proved to be fatal. My heart jumped out of an acceptable beat and had to be shocked back to an acceptable beat. The care kindness and compassion shown by ALL the staff was unbelievable and will stay with me forever if not for their care & skill. I would not be here to write this I and my family thank you from the bottom of my heart

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience of the care provided within the Intensive Care Unit at University Hospital Crosshouse.

I am sorry to hear that you had suspected food poisoning, which required a hospital admission and subsequently led to so many complications. I'm sure this must have been very frightening and anxious time for you and your family. I am however delighted to hear that you received such kind, professional and compassionate care from our staff. This is a lovely example of the patient centred care that we strive to provide

Our staff really appreciate receiving feedback from their patients and it will be my pleasure to share your kind words with the staff in the Department. I know they will be delighted to receive this feedback and it will be really encouraging for them to know that you felt so well supported during your time with them.
