"Still running covid appointment system - four years on!"

About: General practices in Tayside

(as a service user),

Great staff at my GP surgery but practice still operating under covid system and it is causing local mayhem.  Still doing telephone appointments and very reduced face to face.  To get face to face first requires a telephone appointment so using up two slots! Telephone appointments take longer and are a stressful experience for me.  Increased numbers of GPs but only ever a couple of patients in waiting area.  Got rid of pharmacy desk and computer check in so patients have to queue out the door for all different things (making it difficult to check in for appointments: if you get one!).  Reception and telephone staff have the worst job in the place in my opinion, as the frustration of patients is borne by them.

Good afternoon

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback about your GP Practice. Feedback is very valuable to all areas of the NHS. Unfortunately, GP practices are not part of Care Opinion at this time, as each GP Practice is an independent business.

So that they can see your feedback, we would recommend that you feedback your experience directly to the practice to allow this to be passed on to the staff. The Practice Manager can give you with details of how to provide this feedback to them, as per their Complaints and Feedback Policy.
