"Amazing care shown"

About: Cumberland Infirmary

I brought my 41yr old son

in after he suffered from chest pains at camp. (he also happens to have 'Downs'). From the moment we entered the A & E department, we were absolutely amazed at the professionalism & care, & the way my son was treated was second to none. We were actually asked to stay for a further six hours so that blood tests could be repeated. After two blood tests, offers of sandwiches & coffee, two ECG's, and a chest X-ray, we were given the all clear with a follow up appointment in Cardiology within three weeks. As a family, we have total admiration for every member of staff we encountered. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts

Dear Daph Rudd

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback relating to your son's A&E attendance - it must have been such a worry for you.

Your feedback will be recorded and shared with the A&E team.

It is nice read your son's experience and I am pleased that your experience was so positive. The staff will be so grateful for your feedback.

I hope your son is keeping well.

Take care

Sylvia
