"My journey to sobriety"

I have been drinking for 4 years but heavily within the last 3.

I realised I had a drink issue about 1 year ago, it was affecting my marriage, my job and my health. 

I approached CGL for help, who provided me with much needed support.  It took roughly 9 months to be referred to DCDS.  I felt very happy and relieved to be accepted. 

I felt very anxious on my first day, after a couple of days I relaxed and felt much better. I got involved with all of the groups and activities they offer. 

It is now day nine and I feel healthier and happier much more human. I can now be a better person and a better husband. 

I found the evening groups and meditation session really useful. The medical care I received excellent.  

I would like to see more activities available and my suggestion  is ping pong table.
