"Over 4 hours for a child assessment "

About: County Hospital

Came into the hospital at 6pm with my 9 month child for a minor injury, she was triaged at 8pm and told that there wouldn’t be much of a wait because there is only one child infront of her, and at 9pm they said the wait would still be another hour. I’m not sure why it takes over 2 hours to assess one child. I have been in other hospitals with my first born and never had this long of a wait for a baby. It’s appalling and you can actually see patients being called, sent out within 10 minutes and then it takes another 20 minutes to 30 minutes to take someone else in. Rather than ranting about shortages they should actually get on with work. You can clearly see the pace at which they work is tortoise and then behave as if they have so much to do. I wish the NHS actually assess the number of patients the doctors have assessed over a period of time to get the true picture of efficiency.
