"Very helpful for both my physical and mental wellbeing"

About: Oncology / Physical Activity Classes

(as the patient),

Following surgery and treatment for cancer I attended fitness classes through Friends of the Cancer Centre.  I found these classes very helpful for both my physical and mental wellbeing.

The classes were suitable for all ages and fitness levels and the instructor, Joe, monitored and adapted the exercises to suit each individual's needs/capabilities.

Each week I started to feel I was beginning to return to my normal pre-diagnosis self and this helped so much with my confidence.

I also enjoyed the opportunity of mixing and engaging with other people who had been through a similar experience.

I would encourage anyone given the opportunity to attend services offered by Friends of the Cancer Centre to do so.

Hi ribbonh

Thank you so much for taking the time to voice your thoughts on the service provided by our physical activity coach. It was lovely to hear that you enjoyed Joe’s classes and that they were helpful for your physical and mental well-being. It is great that your confidence has improved and there is huge value from the camaraderie that comes with being with people who have been through a similar journey. Please continue to keep active and I will make sure to let Joe know about your great feedback.

Kind Regards
