My son was in a critical mental health condition recently he felt that he had been badly let down by the mental health team at Lavender House Nottingham as he was in transition from them to Highbury Hospital. I know that this takes time but felt that one member of staff was very abrupt this was not acceptable as he was in a mental health crisis. He was not prepared to phone the Crisis team as he had some bad experiences with them - ie take a hot bath or go for a walk.
He had to go to A&E at the Queen's Medical Centre to get some medication due to his current condition, a doctor told him to sit in a more secluded area, a nurse in triage approached him and said what are you doing sitting there in a very abrupt manner. He said to the nurse that he was told to sit there due to his current condition, I feel that these two events should not have happened.
