I recently had a hip replacement at the Nightingale, and I cannot fault the treatment that I had from anyone there. The physical surroundings were also excellent and the organisation was superb.
Then, for a related reason that was no-one's fault, I had an emergency middle of the night blue light ambulance admission to Resus at the RD&E two days later. Again, the treatment was exemplary, speedy, informative and caring. I can't remember much of the 8 hours I spent there, but my husband, who was with me, cannot speak highly enough of everyone there.
Then - as a result of faecal tests resulting from these visits - I was put on the 2 weeks timeline for colon cancer. Within a week I was offered an appointment for a colonoscopy at Tiverton Hospital. Again, I cannot fault the staff and the efficiency there - I almost enjoyed the process (which I bet you don't often hear about a colonoscopy!).
The three key factors that I experienced from these visits were: the efficiency, the good communication and above all, the kindness. I felt very lucky.
"3 notable visits to different departments within one month"
