"Excellent care"

About: General Practices in Grampian

(as a service user),

I attended my GP surgery for a booked appointment with one doctor and was seen by another - what a blessing this turned out to be. I have a serious health condition and thankfully had not needed much GP intervention to this point, as I am seen by other healthcare professionals. Dr MacFadyen has been absolutely amazing, she has been so helpful and goes, in my opinion, way above her call of duty. Nothing is a problem for this lovely lady and I am very grateful to be looked after by her. I have ongoing treatment and there have been complications, but I am never made to feel like I am a nuisance and burden. At every appointment she is friendly, polite and helpful. I just wanted to share a positive experience as too often it is always the negatives that are heard about.

Dear hershegoesgain,

It is indeed too often we hear about the negatives and unfortunately it’s the negative news that spreads faster and sticks around - which makes positive feedback like yours so important! I'm sure Dr MacFadyen, and the team at Moray Coast, will be delighted you have taken the time to get in touch and let them know how feeling listened to, and involved, has had such a positive impact on your care. I will make sure this is passed to them today.

Most of the GP Practices in Grampian are independently run, they have their own complaints and feedback systems, and don't routinely access the feedback shared on the Care Opinion platform. The best way for feedback to reach them is to contact the practice directly, but as I have the details I don't mind sharing it with them on your behalf.

Thanks again for getting in touch. If the practice get back to me with a response I will share it here for you to view.

Take care,

Kirsten

Dear hereshegoesagain,

Please see the response below from Practice Manager Dawn, at Moray Coast Medical Practice:

'Thank you for sharing your positive experience with us, it was heartwarming to read and raised a smile with Dr MacFayden and the wider practice team. We do try our best to deliver person centred care and we really appreciate when patients get in touch to let us know when we are getting it right and the difference this has made to their care journey.

Take care,

Dawn Harvey
