In March my wife took a massive stroke, the amazing thrombosis nurses from ward 6 and Jackie tried to assist my wife into CT scan my wife was admitted into HDU, there was great nurses there especially Eric.
Two days later my wife was blue lighted to Queen Elizabeth hospital to get a craniotomy to save here life, a few weeks later she was transferred to ward 6 at Hairmyers where we met the amazing nurses - Michelle the senior charge nurse, Emma, Rebecca, Martin, Seb, Chris, Hugh, Jayne, Abbey, Sam, Darsey, Kirsty, Cara, Allison, Sophie, Seira, Nicole, Mags and all the amazing clinical support team, too many to name but all excellent, also Frances and Jean looking after us all making sure we are all looked after with food and tea and friendly chat.
My wife spent a good few weeks in ward six getting physio and OT, again all excellent.
My wife had to go back to Queen Elizabeth hospital for surgery and then back to in my wife's words (back to my extended family). We are currently still in ward six and I can't faulty anyone with their care and compassion, I have been supported every step of the way, thank you for everything ❤️
