"Excellent Care ED UHW"

About: Scottish Ambulance Service / Emergency Ambulance University Hospital Wishaw / Emergency Department

(as a service user),

My son was referred from OOH with really bad tonsillitis and glandular fever, from the minute we arrived in ED he was looked after from the triage nurse  Patterson, consultant, Dr Rodgers, Nurse Kinstry and all staff who were a part of his exceptional care, especially when the department was extremely busy, thanks also to ambulance crew for the care and attention also, cant thank everyone enough, he is now thankfully feeling better.

Dear millymoo22

First of all, I am sorry to hear of how unwell your son became and required to attend the Emergency Department here at University Hospital Wishaw. I have no doubt this was a very worrying time for you and your family.

Thank you for your comments on this care opinion platform and I will be delighted to provide this feedback to the Emergency team, and especially to those whom you have personally named. The Emergency team are such a committed and devoted group of staff who strive to deliver exceptional person centred care every day for our patients.

I am pleased to read that your son is feeling better

Best wishes

Faith

Dear Millymoo22,

Many thanks for taking the time to share your feedback here on CareOpinion. I am so sorry to read about what appened to your son, this must have been terrifying for you all. I am glad to read that they are feeling better. It is great to hear positive stories about the work our wonderful staff provide.

If you wish I can pass on the feedback to the crews directly. To do so we would need to know the date, time and address that the Ambulance attended and your sons name. This information can be sent to sas.feedback@nhs.scot for the team to pick up. If you do decide to do this, would you be so kind as to make reference to your CareOpinion username so that the team can easily locate your story and share it with the crew.

I wish you all the very best and thanks again.

Kind Regards

Alan
