"Advice was shocking"

About: Trauma & orthopaedics / Orthopaedic Outpatient Department

(as the patient),

Attended orthopaedic department shortly after breaking my clavicle, the nurses and docs before this were great, and very friendly, helpful and informative.

However at the follow-up I waited 1 hr 20 mins for a 2 minute conversation with a doctor who was very unhelpful, seemed as if they couldn't be bothered at all. Their first sentence was telling me I could have surgery but they drill the bone and below are blood vessels, sometimes they hit the blood vessels sometimes they don't, this left me feeling less than optimistic. It was as if their mission was to put me off surgery. Then they said it  looking at the x-ray, seems like this is still connected with no conviction, it's ok here, it should heal, you can do a bit of this for exercise and motioned his arm in a circle, and a bit of that.

Felt advice was shocking, service was appalling, doctor's attitude was just irritating.
