(as a carer),

My son recently moved from paediatrics to adult services when unfortunately his suction machine stopped working .

After several calls spoke to Heather from Adult Disability Team Clydebank who then got in touch with Suzie the respiratory nurse from Renfrewshire . I then received a call from Suzie who after listening to my story immediately set out to solve my problem.

Suzie came to my house with a replacement machine and took my one away for repair.

The next day Suzie collected a different machine she had arranged for us to borrow till she sourced a permanent one. Suzie then reached out to her colleague in the Clydebank area and sourced a new permanent suction machine for my son.

We feel throughout the process Suzie went above and beyond to help to ensure my son's needs were met. We can’t thank Suzie enough and appreciate all the help and kindness we received.

My name is Tom Kelly and I am the Head of Service: Learning Disability and Recovery for East Renfrewshire HSCP.

Thank you for taking the time to share this feedback. We are really pleased that Susie was able to help and you got the support you and your family needed at the time. Susie works across NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde and is based in East Renfrewshire. She works closely with all teams so it is really good to hear that West Dunbartonshire team stepped in and got in touch with Susie.
