"Everyone provided outstanding care and compassion"

About: Inpatient Unit

(as a relative),

My mum Marie spent just over a month in the hospice. From the moment she arrived, everyone provided outstanding care and compassion. From the doctors, nurses, cleaners, volunteers, every single one of them were incredible. Sister Catherine is an outstanding woman, and the work she does for the hospice is just amazing. She held my mum's hand when she needed someone to speak with other than her family, she checked in on her numerous times a day, and she genuinely cared. They had a lovely bond and she really did make my mum's stay so much more comfortable. They had a special friendship and we will forever be thankful to sister Catherine and all the amazing staff.

Thank you for taking the time to write such lovely comments about the care that your Mum, Marie, received here at St Andrew's Hospice. It is never easy to reach a stage where Hospice support is needed and it warms my heart to hear that your Mum and you were treated with care and compassion throughout. High standards of care are what we excel at and I am so glad that you found this to be the case. Having the courage to share your story will help others to understand the support and expertise that a Hospice can provide so thank you again.

Sister Catherine is indeed an exceptional person. She will be delighted to hear that her input made such a difference to all of you especially to your Mum,
