"Waiting on an appointment"

About: Royal Alexandra Hospital / Gynaecology (Ward 32)

(as a service user),

I had a referral from my doctor about 3 years ago to the hospital as I had some cysts in my womb and a diagnosis of PCOS. I have extremely heavy bleeding and a lot of other issues that need to be resolved and the longer this goes on the worse my symptoms  get . I need help! I have had 2/3 appointments sent out for various hospitals and each time the date nears for the appointment it gets cancelled. I have tried to call several times to the RAH as this is my local hospital and I end up on hold for over an hour and never get to speak to anyone and when I do I’m given another number to call which just rings out.  I am scared that if I do not have my appointment soon my quality of life will continue to deteriorate. I no longer know what to do and require assistance in getting my life back!

Dear ophiuchuspn37,

I'm sorry you are experiencing issues with your clinic appointment.

We have been working very hard to reduce the waiting lists since the pandemic.

Please contact me on the e-mail below with your details and I can look in to this for you:
