"Getting baby jags"

About: Cumbernauld Locality Support Service / Health Visiting Team

(as a parent/guardian),

I feel it would be much better for babies to have 2 nurses working together so all jags are given at once instead of separately by one nurse. On all 3 sets of jags, I’ve felt my baby is being upset longer than necessary because of the current process. Other regions have adopted the 2 nurse approach and North Lanarkshire should follow suit.

Please read my opinion again - I am saying the opposite. This option was not available to me, and should be!

Hi charliezh56,

I must apologise my first response was written in error. I am sorry you felt your baby was upset longer than necessary due to the current guidance for immunisation in Lanarkshire. I am pleased to inform you that Guidance is always under review and I will pass on your feedback to Senior Management.

I appreciate you taking the time to respond. I would like to take this opportunity to wish you an family well and once again I am sorry for initial response.

Kindest regards,

Claire McAleese

Team leader, Health Visiting North Locality.
