At the end of May 2024 my father was unwell in the home and were advised by the GP to call an ambulance. To prepare my parents, I had told them it might take quite a bit of time before it arrives, however I was wrong as the ambulance arrived a short time after ending the call.
When paramedics Graeme and Mark came it to the home, they quickly made us feel at ease whilst ensuring my father was at the centre of the discussions. They were extremely supportive, knowledgeable and funny whilst maintaining professionalism throughout the time in the house.
They told us everything they were doing and what we should expect especially when arriving at the hospital. They allowed me to travel with my father and continually kept up our morale. I can't thank them enough for the care and compassion shown to my family and for making a very difficult and distressing experience feel so much easier to deal with.
