I was admitted to the Medical Assessment Unit (MASU) with a provisional diagnosis of unstable angina. I couldn't believe how busy the unit was. Despite this I was allocated a bed on Bailey Ward and was X-rayed, bled etc. with speed and efficiency. I had an almost comfortable night which on a ward which is also a corridor was a miracle.
Thanks must go to Karen the site manager and Josephine the nurse on MASU who were professional efficient and caring. I also got a treadmill test the following day I did not have to wait. The food although not generous was excellent hot and tasty. Being an inpatient is no fun but I was treated with respect and consummate care. Thank you to those who I have not been able to name. You are a credit to the health service.
