My child has been listed for a hearing implant for almost two years now. Four times they've been given an operation date that for a magnitude of reasons have been cancelled.
We have been told by the very frustrated implant team that the delays are due to the fact there is no regular hearing implant operation list and instead patients are slotting in wherever there is a spare theatre slot.
We have tried in vain to contact PALS both by email and telephone repeatedly and are yet to have either returned.
If my child wouldn't have to start at the bottom of the list again they would definitely not be under this hospital!
