"An absolute joke "

About: The Willows Medical Ctr.

My partner has recently been taken ill and had to have the paramedics out re. Possible stroke. Not requiring hospital treatment after all thankfully, she was advised to get an urgent doctors appointment anyway . We informed them of the standing Queensbury joke about finding the holy grail being easier than actually phoning the GP and getting an appointment . The paramedic said this was disgusting and called the GP herself. Paramedic was told the same , no Dr's available! . She did however get promised a consultation via the phone. Instead, what we actually got was text message saying that the doctor says its not urgent and so won't even phone ( I could be wrong at this point and maybe the doctor is a genius who can make accurate diagnoses without even speaking to the patient ) .

Sadly, this mirrors my own experience of a few months ago when I spent 2 unsuccessful weeks trying to get an appointment . Gave up in the end and googled it as it was just an arm injury so diagnosed and medicated it myself .

This also mirrors our experience of a few years ago when my dad was misdiagnosed as they wouldn't give him an appointment . We eventually found out it was cancer .

Very frightening that a medical practice can be this egregiously terrible in this day and age and sad to see not only no improvement but it actually gets worse !!

Firstly, I am sorry for your experience, unfortunately this is signed off as anonymous. I would like to investigate this further to understand and listen to the calls regarding the appointment needed. If you would like to contact the surgery or email B83020.willowsmc@nhs.net and I will come back to you directly.
