"The staff were really friendly and helpful"

About: Dumfries & Galloway Royal Infirmary / Accident & Emergency Dumfries & Galloway Royal Infirmary / Cardiology

(as a service user),

I very unexpectedly required a pacemaker. I was told to attend A&E straight away. I stayed in overnight the staff were really friendly and helpful.  I was scheduled for the procedure five days later .

I arrived and was made feel relaxed as I was quite nervous.  The consultant, Dr Omar, and his whole team including porters were wonderful. Nothing too much trouble.

They gave me something to relax me but for some reason it did not work.  Dr Omar just kept me talking whilst doing the op I had no worries and it was over quicker than I thought it would be.

I want to say thank you so much to the whole pacemaker team.  Thank you.

Dear Farkys mum,

Thank you for taking the time to share your positive feedback with us following your recent care experience. I was pleased to read that following being advised unexpectedly that you required a pacemaker, you received a positive care experience and were well supported by the whole pacemaker team.

I will be sure to share this feedback with the team involved with your care as I know they will appreciate your kind words.

Kind regards

Jamie
