Following a stroke, my aunt was admitted to ward Medical 2 in the Western Isles Hospital on in late July from South Uist. She unfortunately passed away in July.
The care and attention given to her and to us, her family, was second to none. The staff were so attentive, so caring, providing her with an extremely high standard of care. Staff just couldn't do enough for her or us, from the nursing staff, to medical staff, to housekeeping staff, to reception staff, to catering staff, to hotel services staff. We just couldn't praise them enough.
Nor can we thank them enough. There were too many names to remember them all but the names we do remember are Anne, Donna, Karen, Iona, Rhoda and Norman. The Western Isles hospital staff, particularly those in Medical Ward 2, are a credit to the hospital and I have to say that it was nice to see good old fashion nursing care being delivered routinely, especially in a ward that was extremely busy.
"Amazing staff for my aunt's care"
