About: Antrim Area Hospital / Outpatients Department 4 (Maternity)

(as a service user),

I was cared for during my pregnancy at outpatients 4 in Antrim area hospital as I am a type 1 diabetic. I saw an obstetrician regularly due to being high risk. I was fortunate enough to get to see Dr McMorran the majority of the time. Dr McMorran listened to my wishes and took them into consideration. She was always very warm and friendly and answered all of the questions I had. She spent a lot of time listening to my worries and concerns and talked me through all of my options and potential outcomes. My baby had to be delivered early for a few different reasons and I truly believe Dr McMorran saved my babies life by making the decision to deliver her early. I know this decision wasn’t taken lightly by dr mcmorran. I was supported during this medically and emotionally. I could not be more thankful for dr mcmorrans knowledge and compassion and for saving my babies life
