"Managed to totally calm me down without being patronising"

(as a service user),

I spoke to Clever. Having autism plus EUPD, I was very distressed. Now I am feeling better. I can say that Clever was so patient with me.

I can be a stuck record. I can hear it, but I can't stop it. Even knowing logically my desperate emotions aren't normal, I still feel them. Even despite my insight, I felt desperate and a danger to myself. 

Clever never minimised my feelings, he let me ramble on and on and provided me with a safe space to unload.

Ideally I don't want or intend to get to a crisis point but I'm so grateful for the service and how Clever managed to totally calm me down without being patronising.

I felt out of control and unsafe and I'm extremely grateful as I was on the edge.

Thanks to all staff also.
